Best Tourist Spot In Aklan

Prepare to be amazed and explore the beauty of Aklan as I show you the best tourist spot that can be a gateway to a paradise!

Jawili beach

Jawili Beach is said to be the first Boracay in Aklan. It’s not as beautiful as Boracay’s but it’s long stretch of creamy white to gray sand has it’s own appeal. It’s so serene and quiet, perfect for relaxing.

If you want peace and quiet alone or just a day hanging out with friends, Jawili beach is the one for you. Not as beautiful as Boracay but the serenity and solitude is priceless.

Jawili Falls

Jawili Falls, known for its Seven Basins, is a tourist destination found at Barangay Jawili, Tangalan, Aklan. It has a mesmerizing composition of crystal clear pools and waterfalls.

The town of Tangalan is just a 45 minutes bus trip from Kalibo and from the public market there are plenty of tricycles for Jawili Falls….The falls is located just few meters from the road…..The entrance fee is just Php 5.00…..there are native cottages , trees and flowering plants surrounding this seven-layer cascade. The place is not just for taking a dip at the pools (choose which layer you like) but the cool and relaxing atmosphere surrounded by nature takes away the stress of city life

Hurom-Hurom Cold Spring

Hurom-Hurom  is one of the cold spring resorts in Nabas, Aklan. The main pool is actually a basin that catches  water from a spring that flows from the mountains. Locals enjoy taking a dip here as it is way cheaper than going all the way to Boracay.  Plus, the cold water is just perfect for summer!

A fresh water spring that feeds a pool and nearby stream. We were there by 11 am and stayed about an hour before the crowds arrived. There were picnic areas and food stalls set up to handle the large family gathering spot. We were there on a week day and missed the crowds all together. It was so hot that day I would never call the springs ‘cold.’ Refreshing, yes. Definitely a great place to spend a few hours relaxing.

Bakhawan Eco Park

Bakhawan Eco Park is one of the most successful mangrove reforestation projects in all of Southeast Asia. Located along the Aklan River in Kalibo, Aklan (the gateway to Boracay Island), the Bakhawan Mangrove Forest offers a wide variety of outdoor, cultural, and culinary attractions and activities for visitors to enjoy.

A nice and good place to walking where you can enjoy the view of the river the smell and on the end is the sea side. Take a rest for 10 minutes seat and clear your mind have a deep breathing for the fresh air.
